Once in a while, a restaurant comes along that defines and refines all criteria for excellence. The Schoolhouse at Cannondale is such a place.

If I could, I would hire a huge truck, lift the Schoolhouse at Cannondale from its foundation, and drive it down to a quaint little part of DC so that I could visit on a regular basis. This place is AMAZING, as good as it gets, five stars all of the way.

I lived in NYC for 10 years, and have to say my dining experiences at The Schoolhouse at Cannondale surpass almost all my fine dining in Manhattan. Take the Metro North train to the Cannondale station, the restaurant is right there in the train station parking lot! it's WELL worth the excursion
